Great evening last night with Bournemouth Police male voice choir for Verwood Rotary fundraising, over £1000 raised for charities. A big thanks to David Allen for organising the event.
The Dorset Police Male Voice Choir (DPMVC) is an independent registered charity known for its powerful and uplifting musical performances. Formed in 1995, the choir is composed of both serving and retired police officers and staff, as well as members of the wider community—you do not have to work for the police to join.
The choir is a well-established group, typically with around 55 members, and has an extensive and varied repertoire that ranges from memorable showtunes and well-known hymns to pop and folk songs.
More than just a social activity, the DPMVC is a dedicated charitable organisation. They perform concerts at the invitation of other charities, and since their formation, have helped raise over £260,000 for various good causes. They regularly perform across Dorset, the South West, and have even toured internationally. The choir rehearses weekly in Bournemouth during school term-time.
