A letter of thanks has been received that says, please pass on our sincere thanks to all your fellow Rotarians for your generous donation of E500.00 raised at your Rustic Fayre.
Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year. We have worked hard behind the scenes sourcing and wrapping presents for our patients and gifts for children who visit the Macmillan Unit on Christmas Day.
Our beautiful Christmas trees have come out of storage, and we have loved nothing more than getting together in our Christmas jumpers and transforming all the areas of our Hospice with festive decorations. Staff have decorated their offices, with a competition for the best display.
Our gardening team have untangled all the outdoor light festoons they carefully packed away last year, and our illuminated reindeer take pride of place on our garden rockery.
Steph, our Ward Hostess will very soon be writing her shopping list of goodies, so that she can prepare and serve a delicious feast to our patients who will be with us on Christmas Day. She will also prepare a hearty breakfast and snacks throughout the day for all our clinical teams on duty.
Those of us who aren’t working on Christmas day will be limbering up ready to go down to Boscombe Pier in fancy dress to join over 1,000 others dipping in the sea as part of our biggest fundraiser and annual tradition, the Macmillan White Christmas Dip.
Your donation helps us give our patients a wonderful Christmas, celebrating in the Macmillan
Unit with their families and friends. We are deeply grateful for your support, and for the difference you make. Thank you.
Season’s Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year.
Yours sincerely,
Neal Williams
