Verwood Rotary were present at the Hub for a U3A event – people attending had the chance to find out more about Verwood Rotary and the work it doe in the community,
Verwood U3A is a flourishing community of around 350+ members who are no longer in full‑time work but still curious and energetic. With more than 45 activity groups, it offers a huge range—from creative arts and discussion groups to sports like badminton and pickleball, and music ranging from ukulele sessions to an electric band.
The group structure is very flexible—there are traditional weekly or fortnightly groups, plus newer short courses and one‑off workshops, allowing people to dip in as their schedules allow—ideal for active retirees who travel frequently or don’t want fixed commitments.
