David Hearn became the latest person to join Verwood Rotary. David now joins other Rotary members. to make a significant difference in our community through a variety of initiatives, including local and international projects.
Despite being a relatively small club with around 20 members, we raise tens of thousands of pounds annually for charitable causes. The club supports local charities, schools, and community groups, often through fundraising events like the Rustic Fayre and various race nights.
Beyond fundraising, our members also engage in hands-on community service projects such as environmental efforts like tree planting and litter-picking. They also help organize and run local events, like a recent commemoration event on Ferret Green, where they provided a pop-up drinks tent to raise funds for their projects. By fostering a network of local professionals and businesses, Verwood Rotary creates a strong, connected community that works together to address social issues and improve the quality of life for residents.
