Our second Race Night in May was a resounding success! The evening was packed with the thrill of the races, a bit of friendly competition at the betting desk, and plenty of laughs over a drink at the bar.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, our generous sponsors, and the dedicated club members who worked tirelessly to bring this event to life. We are thrilled to announce that the evening raised an incredible £1,873 for our club charities and community projects.
Making a Life-Saving Difference
We are particularly proud to direct a significant portion of these funds to our President’s chosen charity: the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
This donation is more than just a figure; it represents vital support for a service that operates 365 days a year. Every pound raised helps ensure that when every second counts, the air ambulance team can:
- Reach Patients Faster: Provide critical care to the most remote or inaccessible locations across our region.
- Deliver Advanced Medical Care: Fund the specialized equipment and highly trained onboard clinicians who bring the hospital to the patient, providing life-saving interventions at the scene.
