What a night! Verwood Rotary’s Charter Night was a resounding success, filled with great company and even greater generosity. We are thrilled to announce that £330 was raised for the vital work of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance—a testament to the incredible spirit of our members.

From honouring the “Charter Members” who started it all to hearing a captivating first-hand account from Nick Williams, one of a small group of Royal Marines stationed on the Falklands Islands when Argentina invaded in April 1982. He told a very moving story of how they were hugely outnumbered but tried to defend the islands. Rotary President Andy Maw shared a glowing review of our years’ service, reminding us all of why we love what we do. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support our local community with such passion!
