As President of Verwood Rotary, I am keen to do all I can to raise funds to support the great work charities and voluntary groups do in our community. In my year as President, I have elected to support the Helix, which is based in Verwood.

Peter Campbell

1. Supporting Local Education & Innovation

The Helix in Verwood is a day service center operated by Windward Day Services, dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals. It offers a variety of activities aimed at promoting social interaction, skill development, and community engagement.

2. Enhancing Community Spaces

A well-funded Helix means better facilities for everyone and service users—improved equipment, upgraded technology, or more accessible spaces for community use.

3. Encouraging Arts & Culture

By donating, you help support arts, culture, and creative projects that unite people and enhance services for adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals.

4. Helping Young People & Families

Many of Helix’s initiatives focus on engaging young adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals, providing a safe and stimulating environment for them to explore new interests.

Could you donate to our Charity?

Although small in numbers, we achieve outstanding results for both local and international charities. This year alone, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are looking set to raise over £35,000.
